Interaction & visual design

Sixeight takes a user-centered design approach to projects that involves collaborating with clients and their users.

Rather than jumping straight in to the look and feel of a user interface we like to find out what users want in terms of content and functionality, as well as visual design. We'll then match these findings to the expectations of the business.

Interaction design

Interaction design enables us to get some thoughts down on paper before any production begins. We'll create information architecture and wireframes (rapid prototypes) that references existing research and put them into a functional requirements document that goes to the visual designers and developers. Working like this saves time, money and eases communication between everyone involved in the project.

This approach is similar to an architect design a building before anything is built or decorated.

Visual design

As well as making sure that all the elements of a design end up in the right place, we can also help creatively with the content and visual design. Successful digital interfaces often have a good mix of functionality, content and graphic design.
